Clean your Camelbak Podium Bottles

TAGS: None

These BP-Free bottles are the best for riding. If you don’t keep them clean, though,
the caps can get moldy. The bottle tops completely disassemble to make cleaning easy.

  • Pull the soft-cap of the bottle off by pinching with your fingers, twisting and pulling.
  • By inserting a butter knife or spoon edge (nothing sharp please) under the plastic ring around the top, you can pop it off. Be gentle so as not to break the plastic.
  • You should now have four pieces for cleaning: the soft-cap, plastic ring, blue nipple and main part of the bottle top.
  • Soak all these parts in soapy water (I use a little bit of bleach for extra cleaning).
  • After they’ve soaked for a while, scrub lightly with soft sponge and dry separately
  • When dry, the top is easy to reassemble. Begin by placing the blue nipple on the bottle top, then cap with the plastic ring. It pops easily into place with pressure from your thumbs.
  • Place the soft-cap back on and you’re done!
