Weekly Road Rides

The weekly Ventura group rides have been around for years! They’re free for everyone, just show up and be ready to ride!

Tuesday Night Rides (seasonal)

This is a FAST ride that starts every Tuesday night at 5:00 pm. Meet at the Mission parking lot near the Clocktower Inn on Santa Clara Street and Ventura Ave.

Weekend Rides

Rides on both Saturday and Sunday leave from Chestnut Street in downtown Ventura, across from the Ventura Theatre at 7:30AM. Saturday is generally a faster ride than Sunday, but both are a good pace and typically a large group. The regular monthly schedule is:

1st Sat: Carpenteria/Gobernador/Toro/Montecito and back (50 mi.).
2nd Sat: Foothill- Santa Paula/Ojai/Creek Rd/ Avenue (50 mi.). *
3rd Sat: Rincon/Bates/Casitas Pass (40 mi.).
4th Sat: Rose Valley (approx 55 mi).
5th Sat: Santa Paula/ South Mtn Rd/Grimes/ Balcolm Cyn/Foothill (65 mi.).
Sunday (all): Rincon to Bates; regroup and go with the flow.

* An early group ride for slower riders is available on the 2nd Saturday of each month leaving at 7:15AM. The regular group still leaves at 7:30AM.

Weekly Crit Practice

Thursday evening crit practice in Camarillo runs the duration of daylight savings time.

Warmup 5:30pm – 6:00pm

6:00pm: 50 laps (.5 mile lap) criterium, first 10 laps easy, sprints every 10 laps
